It is not just the macro vantage point and the split second stoppage that makes this image work, Annie. You add colors to a colorless subject, and it is the color that gives the water it's dimension and meaning. It becomes a metaphor for life itself. As I mentioned in my response to your comment on my fish image in my abstraction gallery (http://www.pbase.com/image/62017317 ) the human species originated in the oceans. And each of us came into the world after being immersed in a watery womb. What began as a play on words here has wound up as powerful -- and colorful -- reminder of our origins. Congratulations, Annie, on a remarkable image.
