After several years away from radio, and having moved across the Atlantic, I set up station in an appartment location in downtown Montreal. Antenna was a trapped dipole, strung across the balcony of a 7th floor appartment. First radio was a Yaesu FT-747GX.
This photo was taken a couple of years later. The HF rig is now a FT-890AT, one of my favorite radios. For vhf there's a FT-290R all-mode portable transceiver. At the time packet-radio was all the rage (ham radio's answer to the internet) and that's what's on the monitor screen. Logging was still on paper!
