Guest My husband's family is William Venables who was born at Twickenham about 1773. I have his descendants but am still trying to find his parents and siblings and where I can get the proof. It looks like William may have used some of the same names for his family. I think there is a possibility of a connection to Pat Pond as he has a daughter Henrietta. Thank you

To Peggy, please can you help - i may be barking up the wrong tree but? We are searching for my grandmothers birth mother. my nan was born at wembley house, bowden street, burslem in dec 1926 to a millicent venables age approx 17 (we think she was born in 1908) - she was given up for a private adoption which went thru on 23rd jan 1926 . now we know that my nans birth father owned a pot bank in burslem...only prob is we cant find millicents birth details at all. i have traced back the venables pottery family going back to edwin..prudence, john etc....we think that they may have come from the same family tree...maybe john snr??? if you could help i would be very grateful..please email me at kwinnie@hotmail.co.uk asap. Searching for descendants of John VENABLES b.abt. 1800 & his wife Jane nee BOULTON. They had children: Thomas b.abt. 1818; Prudence b.abt. 1821; John b.abt. 1823; Esther b.abt. 1824 (my gg grandmother);Edwin & Henry b.abt. 1832. John Snr. was an earthenware manufacturer in 'the Potteries', Staffordshire. The children were born in Burslem.

my friends surmane is venables and she is from leeds. She is trying to trace her sisters pauline, sandra, gwyneth and her brothers children as she was adopted. She has found a lot of information via the web but nothing really concrete.

my mother's surname is venables and my grandad is Kenneth William Venables, born around 1935-38. My grandads mum and dad were called Elsie Venables and William Venables (Billy)and lived in Bethnal Green/Hackney London. Some of my family have the middle name Venables. We now know this came from a Henrietta Venables who married John Smith St Georges Hanover Square London. Other Venables that crop up in our tree are Mary and William.Do you have any connections on this. Thanks Pat
