The Four-spotted chaser is a medium-sized, fairly broad-bodied dragonfly. It is on the wing from May to September, sometimes even into October.

Glad you are photographing all these dragonflies and damselflies. I have gradually discovered there is much more variety that just the species - the male, female and immature are often different. That should keep you busy!
