Christmas Lights, Tampere

This is the darkest time of the year, but soon the days are getting longer.
Saturday marks the winter solstice in Finland and the rest of the northern hemisphere.
It's the day when the sun is at its greatest distance from the celestial equator.
In practical terms it means next Saturday will have the shortest amount of sunlight of the year.

Well conceived and executed, a festive image/celebration of the light shining in the darkness!

While we down here were celebrating our longest day...the world slowly turns regardless.
They are perfect lights.
