The blessing hands

He was the only homeless person I saw in Lisbon.
One morning I walked a street which had a dead end.
I struggled a little bit should I take a picture, really did not want to disturb his privacy.
But I quickly pressed the shutter once - and I think this is one of the most touching images I took during my trip.
His shoes were tidy put against the wall, the paper bag says: New balance - and above him those hands in a prayer. May the Lord bless him.

A very touching shot indeed. The shoes neatly placed against the wall are an integral part of the photo. V

hardly comfortable quarters....looks like rough times for this person...sad ironies abound with all the elements apparent here....

A sobering image yet there is a faith in that no one will steal his shoes. "V"
