Ceiling frescoes of the Church of the Holy Cross are original. Around the time that the town was established, a Franciscan brotherhood built a monastery and a church in Rauma.
The church was inaugurated in 1512. The monastery was later closed down, and the church became a Lutheran church.
The beautiful Church of the Holy Cross continues to be one of the most popular attractions in Rauma.
