The 19th-century Liceo de Taoro has a magnificent setting high above the square in Orotava.
Now a private club you can still order a drink from the bar within and take it to the front terrace overlooking
the ornamental gardens planted with birds of paradise and poinsettias, to the rooftops beyond.
