15-Jan-2016 ANITTA VUORISOLA

Haven't been touching neither to my computer or my camera almost in a week.
Been on a sick leave, I have a tenosynovitis in my hand, really a nasty one.
Today it was snowing, and could not resist taking one shot through my bedroom window.
There was a thick layer of snow on the windowsill, and I just love those leafless birches on my yard.

Wishing a great weekend everybody! Happy shooting!

Lovely winter Birch tree shot, A wonderful tree in the winter months especially in the snow.
Last home we had 8 mature River Birch the spring seed is loved by the Chickadee.
Nice monochrome values and nice control of highlights.
Have a speedy recovery with the tenosynovitis .

Sorry to hear of your illness; I hope you get better soon.
Not that it's much compensation for having a busted hand, but this is one of the most beautiful shots I've seen of late. The purity of the background and the clarity of the bark, with the branches appearing to grow right out of the frame.
