Refreshing Dip

We Finns love sauna and beside that we love to dip ourselves in icy water! Today the temperature in Lake Pyhäjärvi was -2C (28F).

Wonderful Finnish scene, brings memories of my Uncle Matti's sauna. When I finally get around to building my own I will have to settle for a snow bank!

The sauna, yes. The Icy water, I'm not so sure. The blue tones enhance the feeling of cold. V

East Coast USA (Boston and more) have had to deal with these extreme temps and cold. California 70's to 80 lately, we are spoiled. I like the sun peeping through the clouds, breaking up the cold blue snow.

I think the photographer has the better end of this deal. A very beautiful image with nice soft colors. I like the mood the light blue color sets and the warm colors in the sky as a contrast. I also suspect he will be blue when he gets out. Did you take an after the dip photo? Voted
