Art Nouveau buildings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries include the Tirkkonen house on the corner of Kuninkaankatu and Kauppakatu. The house was designed by architects Lars Sonck and Birger Federley. It was built 1901 and served as a fabric shop owned by Tirkkonen family.
