Your Photographs are an excellent representation of all that is New Orleans, and not just "Bourbon Street". I particularly like the "Burger King" image, we seem to see stuff like that all the time around here!

Thanks for visiting and taking the time to comment again Cathe! Yes...the HOB here is truly sprawling and very diverse in every aspect! And I only took a few photos of one room and one entrance! There's a large building for the restaraunt and meeting rooms and another building just for the live stage presentations! Truly a place that any visitor to New Orleans who loves Jazz/Blues/Music must put on their list of places to visit! It's like a mini amusement park in the middle of the French Quarter! I got lost withing three rooms in the restaurant area the other day! LOL! Truly amazing! Look for a lot of photos of the New Orleans House Of Blues after September 9th! (I won't give away why...but make sure you visit the galleries after that date!) :-)

The HOB pics are fabulous! What a contrast to the HOB here in Anaheim! Much more colorful! But then what else would you expect from one of the spots where jazz was born? Thanks again for bringing your town to all of us! Cathe

Thank you so much John. I'm just a theatrical artist who wanders around simply snapping shots. I'm not a professional photographer by any means. I just enjoy walking around and snapping what I think are fun or interesting shots. If they please folks, then that truly makes me happy! In fact, I've just uploaded over 100 new photos from today's jaunt through the French Quarter, including the cemeteries and some statuary and even a fun little bit of effluvia. (I caught a shot of myself as I was enjoying wandering around the French Quarter in an elipsed mirror. LOL!) Thanks once again, and feel free to check back every couple of weeks, there will always be new photos to share.

Thanks Cathe, again! :-) Today was a joy as the Jazz Fest took a lot of folks out of the French Quarter and the surrounding areas. I managed to get some shots I'm really happy with and I'm even happier that you enjoy them. I know that New Orleans, my home town, is diverse...but wow! Sometimes it's just a joy to walk around your own city and see things you took for granted with fresh viewpoints.

The new photos are great! I feel like I am walking through an Anne Rice novel while looking at some of them! Others are just amazing! The statue of Louie Armstrong! My hero! (I played trumpet in high school band). Thank you so much, Ed, for continuing to add to this photographic journal of yours!

Thanks Steve. Glad you got some ideas. Since I live here, I carry my camera everywhere looking for interesting things whenever I can manage to snap a shot off...sometimes from the window of a moving car! LOL! By the way...what is the name you go by here at pbase so I can see your galleries? :-)
