New Orleans' first Mardi Gras after the devestation of Hurricane Katrina was most interesting. Fairly calm and peaceful with less of the collegiate/spring breaker drunken nudity to sully the festivities which made it a great one! An important Gras for so many reasons, I had a blast strutting through the Quarters on the big day after riding in Bacchus as a Parade Marshall with Michael Keaton, hanging around the Sonesta balcony with Brittany Spears and Kevin Federline, my annual television broadcasts and so much more that this gallery only hints at all the sights and sounds of the event. I hope that you enjoy it and do check out the Katrina Aftermath gallery which was put together with my forrays into sections of the city to show the devestation and reconstruction efforts going on throughout the Carnival celebration. It will certainly give a fuller overview of how much natives truly needed this Mardi Gras in order to release and focus to rebuild New Orleans bigger and better than ever!
