The Feast of the Epiphany has come...Twelfth Night has arrived and the Carnival season is officially begun here in New Orleans. The first sign of the season is the annual appearance of Professor Carl Nivale on WWL-TV's January 6th Morning Broadcast. This year, "Tabletop Mardi Gras Floats" from my company, Simply Stunning, made their debut as decorative set dressing for the event. I'm kicking off this gallery with shots from the live broadcast including the screens the Professor created to be used as informative background screens during his interview. My partner Vatican sang at the Knights of Sparta bal masque and I was invited to be there. I also had the fun job of face painting the dancers who performed in the ball as well and I share some moments from the evening. I got to ride in the Grand Marshal vehicle of Caeser as well as face paint the KISS float members and so of course..lotsa photo ops! Also Excalibur line-up and parade shots. Soon Aquila, Endymion and Bacchus...special face painting gigs as well as lots more!
