Rho Ophiuchi, the dark jellyfish

South of Lithgow, NSW

Colourful dust and gas reflects the colours of the bright orange star Antares, and blue stars including Rho Ophiuchi. All this lies in the foreground of Milky Way starfields and the bright globular cluster Messier 4. Some see a great jellyfish amongst the dark clouds. A stack of 3 x 6 minute exposures, ISO 800, f/4. Processed in DeepSkyStacker and Photoshop.
