Frustrating day at Rutland Water. The ospreys are still not showing well. 4 times I saw either a successful catch or a fly by with a fish, but each time way off in the distance. The problem seems to be there are lots of gulls on lagoon 1. Whenever an osprey appears, they gang up and chase it off. The ospreys just dont spend time on the lagoon so no hovering shots, dives, etc.
