Lunar eclipse from Baylys Beach 16 Jun 2011

The moon was always going to be setting during totality as seen from NZ, and I hoped I might see a ruddy etruscan orb set into the Tasman Sea. However the moon sank into cloud at 7:12am long before it was due to set at 7:32am
