Hi John, I also forgot to mention that the 200mm lens is of course equiv to a 320mm FL lens when used on the 20D. (in 35mm speak)

It wasn't that difficult actually. It was taken at Cape Kidnappers and was taken at the colony on the beach (Black rock colony?) These gannets are used to the tourists on the tractor trailers going past them every day. Deborah & myself walked the 10km or so (each way) rather than be part of the tractor convoy.

Very nice parent and child image and great use of back-light. You must have sneaked up close to get this with a 200mm lens
