Yes, it's a Herschel wedge, and I see that looking at the annotation on the photo that I also used a neutral density 1.8 filter, plus a red and infra red cut filters. In place of the red, I'd probably use the continuum filter now. (I just need a sunspot as nice as the above sunspot, and a day of perfect seeing to co-incide together !)
