This has a different feel to it, with the hot sunny area and the deep shade. The contrasting light and dark areas seem to draw one away from the details of the shady lilies in the foreground. OTOH, maybe some would prefer the wider view of the pond. So you should keep both of them.
I have done some flower portraits lately, they are pretty willing subjects when the wind doesn't blow them around! Since we are renovating our garden, flowers there are naturally on my mind.

Are you saying you liked the medium one without the reflection of that Japanese Teagarden structure more than this less cropped one ?

For this photo I like your middle distance cropped version best. Very sharp detail and pretty colors.
