Not impressed with this model build kit. I didn't have enough planking and none were destroyed. The rigging is a nightmare as there are no close-up pictures as to how the rope blocks are to be fitted. Trying to fit the "hinges" to the rudder is completely impossible. And what to do with the "NAILS" to bang through the rudder? How is the rope fixed to the bowsprit? And the bowsprit is fitted OFF CENTER which no boat builder would contemplate. The sails are very unfinished and look like they belong on a smaller boat. The boom jaws are awful and there is no detail on the black beads(?) that are there. I am not exactly happy with the Parts List. If you don't have a vernier forget the build. And trying to bend the external boards to shape require expert knowledge on wood steaming. One essential is quick drying glue. At $100.00 Australian the model is greatly overpriced. One saving grace is the little box of accessories, they are VERY good.
