The table with the United Nations flag sits on the Military Demarcation Line - the border of North and South Korea. The photo was taken from the South Korean end of the hut. You can walk around the right-hand end of the table and technically enter North Korea. A south Korean MP stands at the left-hand end preventing you walking around that way - no idea why. Maybe he stops anyone pinching the flag as a souvenir. At the far end of the hut there's another MP, stopping you defecting to North Korea via the door at that end. I wasn't really that way inclined. This shot was rapidly shot as I was being urgently rushed back out the South Korean end, hence it's a bit blurred. Was the shooting about to start or was it just another 40 tourists arriving?
