I was lucky enough to have 63 hour stop-over in Frankfurt recently, so jumped on a Malév flight and flew to Budapest for two nights. A whirlwind tour! Met a couple of lovely locals (hi Noemi and Peter), tried the beer, goulash, lángos, and toured the sights: Castle Hill, Szechenyi Chain Bridge, House of Terror (gee, Hungary had a hard 20th Century) and finished with several hours soaking at the Szechenyi Thermal Baths. An outstanding city and I will be back!
