The Nikon looks the better of the two. Yet from Photozone.de the Pentax should be better... Well, I just bought a Pentax 35mm f2 and can agree your findings for it - my shots look like yours but mine on a Samsung GX20. Mine is not as good as the Pentaxians claim. F2 is decidedly dreamy, f2.8 is better but not by that much, it is f4 before it sings. It often fails to focus or ff/bfs. But the whole point is f2. If that's not good enough, then the lens is useless. My Pentax 16-45 is as good at 35mm f4. I had a Canon 50mm f1.4 and MkII 1.8 which both behaved similarly in that focusing was hit and miss and dreamy wide open. Trying a Sigma 20 f1.8 and that was terrible except for the centre - much like the 30 f1.4. Seems it is not easy to make a good fast lens. From Photozone's test, though, I thought the Pentax 35mm f2 might have been it... :((

Nikkor is definitely better, esp. when at maximum aperture.
