We climbed Tahquitz Peak, elevation 8752', in the San Bernardino National Forest via the South Ridge Trail and returned via the Devil's slide trail to Idyllwild. Total distance according to my pedometer 16.6 miles. Including stops this hike/climb took us 6 1/2 hours. The 360' views were incredible. Mt. San Jacinto seen in this image, elevation 10,834' is our next goal.
