Osprey

On my walk this morning I came across this dead Osprey. No idea how it died.
I think it may be one of a pair that currently have chicks. I usually see at least one of them guarding the nest. I hope I am wrong.
In twenty years of walking in the area, this is the first dead Osprey I have come across.
