My home made Lightbox,

and my first SLR, a Pentax Spotmatic. It's ca. 1966 and still works fine. Manual mode only!

Ah, I remember them well! I had a Spotmatic too! My first SLR was the Pentax H3, no onboard meter. I used Pentax for a good while, since I couldn't afford the Nikon, etc. I switched to Nikon with the F100 and got my first DSLR, the D1x, in 2001. I had other digital cameras before that one, starting in 1999 with the Sony FD88, which used a computer floppy disk for storage. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I had the same camera model. However, mine got destroyed in a canoeing accident in about 1977. Fortunately it was the only casualty. V
