Ready in three Months

I was in our backyard and decided to check on our oranges.
They look like they should be ready to eat around Christmas time.
The fruit take about eight months to grow, but it is worth the wait.
When ripe, they are the size of grapefruit, and are seedless and very sweet.
The tree requires practically no care at all, just watering three times a week and pruning once every year.
We get about 150 oranges a year from this tree.

There's nothing like having your own orange tree at home. If you use three oranges daily for breakfast, you have oranges for 50 days. :-)
Wonderful composition. I really like the green color. -V-

Nice variety of green tones in this scene! I didn't know oranges took so long to mature and how many you could get from a single tree. Interesting. I wish I could grow my own!
