BMW Oracle Racing 90 - The Challenger to the America's Cup 2010
I took this shot on our photo shoot yesterday and this is about as close as you can get to this fascinating boat.
It is 90 feet = 27.4 meters long and constructed almost entirely out of carbon fiber and epoxy resin.
The construction and rigging of the 185 foot = 56 meter mast allow for a speed of 40-60 knots depending on the wind speed.
The Oracle is here in San Diego for trials. We were lucky to see it.
