The Soothsayer
In many cultures the call of the owl is used to predict everything from when to travel to the fortune of a new born child.
The owl is also connected with ill omen and warding off evil. A complex bird that has interested humans for thousands of years.

There is something so deceiving about the owl as this photo captures so well. The head is so fierce and yet the roundness portrays him as friendly and the eyes wise.
