Ol Point Loma Lighthouse
Built in 1855, it was abandoned in 1891 because the location on the top of Point Loma was not suitable because of frequent fog.
Ironically even though it is surrounded by the sea on three sides, there is no fresh water for miles. The flat area in front of the light house was used to collect the very rare rain water.
