The trip from Clapham to Highbury was interesting as it passed thru parts of London that we had not travelled thru before. Interesting to note how the new "station facilities" have been fitted into the original railway infrastructure, resulting in some short platforms that meant the last carriage was locked out.
.
The train was lightly loaded and it puzzled us old folk why the young lady stood all the way from Clapham to Haggerston......quite a journey when there were no more than 6 people occupying seats....strange
.
We changed at Highbury to catch another Overground train to Gospel Oak.
.
This train had some strange people on it on their way to Regents Park........but the strangest of all was to be found on the "Goblin Line" from Gospel Oak to Barking our next destination. A middle aged, slightly rotund, man wearing nothing but a vest(c/w frilly hemline) and some shoes. A "sight to behold" when he crossed his legs! Thankfully I was facing the other way or nightmares would have followed.
8/10 to the helpful staff on the Gospel Oak platforms....even though in the end the Gents they directed us to was shut.....so legs cross until Barking!!!!!!
