A view from St Pancras station across to the "bland" great Northern terminal , Kings Cross. The renovation work has removed the eyesore of the addition that plagued the front of the building but it seems clutter is creeping back with market stalls now in the forecourt.
Designed by Lewis Cubitt in 1852 It was a very functional, if not somewhat plain, building that in its time was seen as being very modern.
It was designed to be efficient and functional which it still is today despite the vastly increased passenger numbers of recent times.
