We took another trip down the Great Ocean Road, mainly to see places I'd not seen before, although we did stop by the Twelve Apostles to take some photos of the "Apostle that has ceased to be". In case you didn't know, in July 2005 one of the larger rock formations of the Twelve Apostles finally crumbled and collapsed into the ocean, leaving only a pile of rubble.
We stayed in Apollo Bay again because we like it so much, however after being to Port Fairy just past Warrnambool, we may stay there next time, just fantastic.
The other places we visited were the Cape Otway Light Station, incorporating the Lighthouse which was built in 1848 and the the Telegraph Building built in 1859 to link Tasmania to the mainland. Also stopped at London Bridge, The Bay of Islands and The Bay of Martyrs.
We decide to stay somewhere different in Apollo Bay this time around. Michele found an amazing place some time ago called Chocolate Gannets, which was magnificent. Comfy beds, double spa, full kitchen and amazing views. If you want somewhere to stay (and the budget allows) this is it!
If you ever have the chance to see this part of Australia, I highly recommend you do.
