Driving home from a tango dance, we spotted this amazing moon sitting halfway up the horizon just as we were passing the Washington Monument. I had to try to capture the two of them together, so we stopped, turned around and parked on 15th Street, NW, something you can only do at one in the morning in DC. Propping the camera on top of my silver-grey Altima, I set the camera to a 2-5 second shutter delay to capture as much light as possible, since I didn't have my tripod with me. The result, with a little Photoshop to lighten things up, is this, plus a handful of other shots I took.
