Located in a small, rural part of west-central Miyagi prefecture, one finds the Matsuoka family cemetary stones. All the stones here belong to the Matsuoka family and the oldest date back nearly 400 years. Those stones are mostly illegible, as time and the elements have worn away the engravings from the stone.
