We had a spot of rain last week, nothing to rival the biblical floods that afflicted our cousins in the Pacific Northwest, and though one might be tempted to say there's been a LOT of rain and darkness emanating from my town for the past five plus years, after this month's elections - when we Americans enacted term limits on a goodly number of our elected representatives - the sun was shining, brightly. It was a day one could again be proud to be an American (sans the Lee Greenwood treacle).
