All photos in this gallery were taken with a Canon 5D with the sensor modified to block out visible light and only show black and white tones in infrared light.
The two main effects of this is that blues such as skies become very dark and organic matter tends to reflect and become very light.
Shooting in IR with this setup can be very hit and miss as you are never sure about the exposure and tonal range and the IR light focuses differently than visible light. Older lenses with the red IR marking make it much easier to manually focus. Complex lenses also tend to vignette heavily and are much softer.
