Philae Temple

The Philae temple, located in Philae island next to Aswan dam, is devoted to goddess Isis. It was built in a period of eight hundred years during the Ptolomaic New Kingdom age. In Ancient Egyptian mythology goddess Isis, sister of Osiris, represented ideal motherhood.
