The Wilderness Education Association (WEA) offers a college level 18 point curriculum geared for students committed to pursuing a career in the outdoor profession. During the coarse we spend time teaching and practicing the “whys” of the WEA curriculum and developing judgment, decision making and outdoor leadership skills and abilities. As WEA Certified Outdoor Leaders we are able to safely and enjoyably lead others in the outdoors while minimizing impact on the resources.

During this trip we spent 10 days backpacking on-trail and off-trail through John Muir’s Range of Light situated in the magnificent Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park backcountry.
