THE REDUNDANT LITTLE CHURCH
WINNER : SUSSEX-MY LOCALITY/WARMINGHURST GALLERY
The Church of the Holy Sepulchre which was made redundant in 1979.
This isolated church is now cared for by The Churches Conservation Trust, a simple sandstone building built at the end of a lane, near Ashington, in about 1220. Its bell, cast in about 1200, is one of the oldest survivors in Sussex.
Unlike many ancient churches in Sussex, it was not restored in the 19th century, and its interior has been called the finest example in Sussex of how many must have looked before the Victorian restorers. It is now a Grade I listed building for its architectural and historical importance.

ALMDUDLER
My mountain-top refreshment in Seefeld.....albeit in the wrong glass!
It is called the national non-alcoholic drink of Austria where its popularity is second only to Coca Cola. Introduced over 56 years ago this carbonated fruit juice mix is flavoured with 32 Alpine herbs. It's name derives from the Austrian expression for yodelling in the meadows.

VAUXHALL BRIDGE
Opened in 1906, this bridge replaced an earlier one built between 1809 and 1816. It took eight years to build and was the first bridge to carry trams in London. Its appearance has changed little since 1907 when the bronze statues were erected above its piers, and today it is a Grade II Listed structure.
