Two of my maternal Grandfather's brothers, teenagers Albert & Ernest Jay, who died during the First World War
One died in active service in England as a result of a broken back whilst exercising on parallel bars. The other died in the Battle of Loos in France...his body was never found, but his name is on the memorial on the Loos Memorial war cemetery.
