we call "couve" and its cookeg generally with onions and garlics chooped. Its ate with pork roasted meat.

I am not sure any more what you, guys, are consuming in UK ?! Steamed potato and chunks of lamb ?! This is colrabi cabbage, normally I would cook it on the medium heated skillet, cut in 1/2" chunks with added roasted Portugese sausage, pinch of rosemary, few gloves of garlic, red bell pepper and red onion. All with olive oil and red wine. After cooked sprinkle this with grated Romano cheese and have 2-3 bottles of Amarone for romantic dinner for 2 ! ! One could sell homeland for this meal, LOL !
