A tiny chapel, serving a hamlet of a farm and a few houses. Designated as a 'chapel-of-ease', it was not allowed a font, steeple or, originally, a bell....although a small belltower was eventually permitted. Reached only by a footpath through a wooded dell and surrounded by fields, a service is held there once a month. Built in 1150, although a previous church on site was recorded in 791 AD.
