The Dutch artist Frans Post lived in Brazil for 7 years in the mid 17th century, and its flora and fauna inspired many of his works of art. The Rijksmuseum is currently exhibiting his work from this period, along with dozens of stuffed animals on special loan from the Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden.
