AUSTRIA NOSTALGIA MONTH

The Hohenwerfen Fortress which featured as the 'Schloss Adler' in the 1968 film 'Where Eagles Dare'. It was originally built in the 11th century and has been extended and renovated over the centuries. It stands on a high rocky outcrop immediately above the River Salzach and the village of Werfen in Salzburgerland.
