St Nicholas Church is near the Arun river crossing at Houghton Bridge.
It is a simple building with just a bell arch, nave, chancel and small porch as, before becoming a parish in its own right, this church was a originally a chapel attached to the neighbouring parish of Amberley. Although renovated in 1856 it has changed little from its 13th century origins.
