Confusion reigns as to its origins......information sources variously record it as being built in the late 18th century, elsewhere recorded in section referring to the 16th & 17th centuries, and yet Listed Buildings information show it as Grade II listed and dates from 1390, the date shown on a rainwater head. I think the answer is probably that the buildings have been considerably altered and refurbished over the centuries.
