Handcross - West Sussex

The house at Nymans Gardens built in the the late 1800's.
In 1947 most of the house was tragically destroyed by fire. The surviving rooms were still used up until 1953 when Nymans became one of the first gardens to be transferred to the National Trust. The house ruins, shown above, remain as a romantic background for the garden, and the remaining rooms are open to the public.
The gardens cover approximately 30 acres
