The island's most important pilgrimage church, Our Lady of the Mountain. Built in 1818 to replace the chapel destroyed by an earthquake in 1748. On the altar is a very tiny statue of the Virgin Mary. It was found nearby by a shepherdess in the 15th century and is paraded around the village on the Feast of the Assumption in August. Also inside is the tomb of Charles I, the last Emperor of Austria & King of Hungary.
